Official opening of the lithium-ion battery recycling plant in Wszemirov

The Official Opening Ceremony of the new lithium-ion battery recycling plant in Wszemirov is behind us!

We would like to thank all the guests who took part in this unique event and started a new chapter in the history of Wastes Service Group together with us.

During the ceremony, the following spoke:

  • Robert Makieła — President of Wastes Service Group, who summed up three years of development work and announced a new project — an electric vehicle dismantling station in Ozimek.
  • Minister Krzysztof Galos (Ministry of Climate and Environment), stressing that the first source of raw materials should be recycling.
  • Prof. Joanna Kulczycka (Institute of Mineral Resources and Energy Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences), drawing attention to technological and legislative challenges in achieving clean raw materials.
  • Igor Bandrowicz, Mayor of the Municipality of Prusice, who distinguished the business and ecological responsibility of the Wastes Service Group.
  • Katarzyna Błachowicz (Circular Economy and Recycling Cluster), speaking about the necessity of recycling despite its difficulties.
  • Sebastian Kącki (Ministry of Development and Technology), announcing the Ministry's support for similar initiatives in the 2026—2027 programmes.

The ceremony was completed by the symbolic cutting of the ribbon, officially opening a modern lithium-ion battery recycling plant.
